WHAT:
"Artists for Humanity" concert held to benefit Peace Bell Project in Greenwich Village Park.WHEN:
Benifit Concluded (Thanks All - Great success!)WHERE:
The Church of Saint Luke in the Fields, Hudson Street near Christopher Street, Greenwich Village, NYCWHY:
The peace sculpture, crafted by NY artisan Jeffrey Mase, is an idea of Don Conreaux. In ancient tradition, former weapons are smelted and re-cast into bronze bells which may be rung, eliciting a beautiful tone to demonstrate that implements of violence can be successfully recycled into tools of beauty and serenity. The peace bell sculpture, purely a work of art, secular and nondenominational, symbolizes man's yearning for peace in a world more often torn by violence. We hope others will join us towards achieving successful completion of this project "dedicated to a world without violence for the children of our future."HOW:
